The Texas Neurodiagnostics Initiative (TXNDI) is an independent, Texas-based effort focused on strengthening and recognizing the neurodiagnostic workforce while advancing patient safety, workforce protection, and a clear path toward formal recognition in Texas.
This initiative is centered on patient safety, workforce protection, professional recognition, and preservation of physician oversight within established models of care.
It is not a professional society or membership organization. The initiative is designed to bring stakeholders together in a coordinated, patient-safety focused effort while maintaining established models of care.
Current work is focused on coalition building, stakeholder alignment, and building on the foundation established by prior efforts to advance a simple, workforce-protective framework for Texas.
Patient Safety First
Policy design is grounded in patient safety, quality of care, accountability, and consistent neurodiagnostic practices.
Workforce Protection
The initiative supports a path forward that protects the existing workforce, maintains access to the staffing pipeline, and avoids barriers or disruption.
Physician-Directed Model
This effort is aligned with physician-directed care and reinforces the role of neurodiagnostic technologists within established clinical models, without expanding clinical authority.
